Hi everybody,
I've done a survey on a warehouse where people are complaining about connection problems sometimes.
They are using MC9090 handhelds from Motorola.
My question is: which signal level can see take as the "acceptable" or "reasonnable" limit for the MC9090 to work correctly ?
I found nothing on the Motorola website...
So if from your experience you have good informations, thanks in advance

Re: Motorola MC9090
Hello,
When I survey for mobile data devices such as scanners and fork lift terminals I measure for an RSSI -72dBm.
From my experience this provides reliable coverage with enough cell overlap for smooth roaming.
I have a question. What type of WLAN solution are you using? Cisco, Aruba...?

Hello,
Thanks for the advice, I'll check with -72dBm too.
We are using CISCO 12xx access points.
Cheers

Hello,
This might be a helpful tip.
If you are using a controller based Cisco WLAN, try disabling Aironet Extensions (the AE checkbox).
I have seen connection problems with Motorola devices while this feature is enabled.
